Job summary

Fluid And Power Automations in Goa is seeking a procurement professional to lead sourcing, vendor onboarding, contract management and supplier performance for complex site projects spanning electrical components and automation systems.

You will collaborate with project engineers, site teams and stores to understand material requirements, prepare purchase plans, place timely purchase orders, negotiate prices and payment terms, monitor deliveries, drive cost optimization and ensure compliance with

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & vendor management: identify, onboard and manage suppliers; conduct performance reviews.
• Procurement planning & execution: prepare purchase plans, issue POs, coordinate with stores and site teams.
• Cost control & negotiation: negotiate prices, terms, and warranties; optimize costs.
• Contract & documentation management: draft/review contracts; maintain records and MIS reports.
• Compliance & process improvement: ensure policy adherence and drive efficiency to reduce lead times.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews based on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Resolve vendor-related issues such as delays, quality concerns, or disputes.

2. Procurement Planning & Execution

• Collaborate with project, engineering, and site teams to understand material requirements.
• Prepare purchase plans aligned with project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure timely placement of Purchase Orders (POs) to avoid project delays.
• Track material delivery status and coordinate with stores and site teams.

3. Cost Control & Negotiation

• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranties.
• Achieve cost optimization without compromising on quality or specifications.
• Conduct comparative analysis and prepare cost-benefit evaluations.

4. Contract & Documentation Management

• Draft, review, and manage vendor contracts and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and audit standards.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation.
• Prepare MIS reports on procurement status, savings, and vendor performance.

5. Compliance & Process Improvement

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and internal controls.
• Stay updated with market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and reduce lead times.

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
