Role & responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Handle procurement of raw materials and indirect materials, including Import items, ABS, Aluminium, Chemicals, and other spend categories.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and timely delivery.
• Manage RFQs, price negotiations, commercial discussions, and purchase order placements.
• Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supplier performance.

Order Fulfillment & Material Planning

• Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials to support production schedules.
• Coordinate with planning, production, stores, and suppliers for seamless order fulfillment.
• Track purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery while resolving supply-related issues.

Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Work closely with stores and planning teams to improve inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.
• Analyze consumption patterns and implement inventory optimization strategies.

Cost Reduction & Process Improvement

• Lead cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, alternate vendor development, and negotiation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and procurement efficiency enhancements.
• Drive savings projects and contribute to annual procurement cost targets.

Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and contractual requirements.

Preferred candidate profile
