Job summary

DEFA is seeking a procurement/operations professional to manage end-to-end sourcing for Lighting projects in Bengaluru. The role involves coordinating with vendors, reviewing BOQs, and ensuring timely delivery of lamps, accessories, and materials.

The candidate should have 5-9 years in procurement/operations, strong vendor management and Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently with excellent communication and follow-up abilities.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of relevant experience in Procurement/Operations.
• Experience in Lighting, Interior, Architecture, or Construction preferred.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong follow-up and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for Lighting projects.
• Coordinate with vendors for quotations, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing and commercial terms.
• Review BOQs and project requirements and place purchase orders accordingly.
• Track material orders, production, dispatch, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure lighting materials, lamps, and accessories are procured as per project requirements.
• Coordinate material checks and resolve quality or quantity issues.
• Maintain procurement trackers, BOQs, pricing sheets, and purchase records.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Accounts, and Project teams.
• Plan material dispatches and coordinate installation schedules.
• Prepare regular project/procurement status reports.
• Manage multiple projects independently and ensure timely completion.
