We are looking for a proactive Procurement Executive with strong communication skills to support the end-to-end procurement of raw materials. The ideal candidate will monitor stock on our WMS/ERP system every day, raise purchase orders for raw materials that fall below threshold, follow up with vendors on quality and timely dispatch, support day-to-day warehouse and inwarding operations, maintain accurate procurement records, and work closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review the WMS/ERP system every day to monitor raw material stock levels and flag items running low.
- Identify raw materials that have fallen below their threshold and raise purchase orders based on production requirements and vendor lead times.
- Follow up with vendors on order confirmations, quality checks, and timely dispatch of every order.
- Track open purchase orders end-to‑end and escalate delays or discrepancies to the Procurement Manager.
- Coordinate inwarding of raw materials, including GRN entries and reconciliation of received quantities against purchase orders and invoices.
- Support resolution of day-to-day operational challenges such as logistics disruptions and inwarding issues to keep production running smoothly.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of purchase orders, vendor details, price lists, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare weekly reports on stock levels, open POs, and slow‑moving or obsolete raw material stock.
- Ensure proper stacking of raw materials in accordance with company procedures to maximise space utilisation and accessibility.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts of raw materials and reconcile with system records to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as production, logistics, and quality assurance for smooth day-to-day operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchase, or supply chain operations, preferably in the food industry. Freshers with a strong aptitude may also apply.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles and procurement processes.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with WMS/ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow up and coordinate effectively with vendors.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
