Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical

Engineering, or related field.

Years of Experience: 6+ years of experience of Research & Development in the area of semiconductor, solar cell/module, optical fibre and allied field.

Job Summary:

The Solar Cell and Module Process Technologist is responsible evaluate & develop

science-based process optimization method and technique in the manufacturing

processes used in the production of solar cells and modules. The ideal candidate

combines strong technical knowledge of materials science, semiconductor

processing, or photovoltaic technology with hands-on experience in a cleanroom or

manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate & Develop science-based process optimization method and technique

for solar cell and module manufacturing processes, including wafering, texturing,

doping, metallization, vacuum deposition, lamination, and encapsulation.

Acquire new knowledge through research, collaboration with external R&D

institution & experimental trials and implement.

Analyze process data and metrics to identify trends, pattern and build library of

knowledge for performance improvement.

Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for yield losses and defects.

Participate in continuous improvement projects and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications:

Understanding of crystalline silicon and/or thin-film solar cell technologies and

knowledge of device simulation/modelling preferred.

Proficient in data analysis tools and statistical process control (SPC).

Experience with process automation tools, cleanroom protocols and vacuum

deposition, etching, and laser processes are desirable.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
