Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad, India is seeking a Printer Systems Administrator to manage enterprise printers, print servers, and the associated tooling. You will ensure standardization, oversee drivers, queues, and deployment across the global fleet.

Collaborating with regional IT teams, you will maintain CMDB accuracy, support L2/L3 printer incidents, coordinate vendor escalations, and drive process improvements through SOP updates and documentation.

• Familiarity with CMDB and asset lifecycle governance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and standardize global printer inventory and ensure CMDB accuracy.
• Validate asset data with regional IT teams and support reporting lifecycle governance.
• Manage print servers, OS support, security patching, and decommissioning.
• Own driver management including approval, deployment, cleanup of legacy drivers.
• Administer VSPX global print management platform; onboard/offboard printers and config.
• Execute standardized onboarding/offboarding with CMDB updates.
• Provide L2/L3 support for printer incidents and coordinate vendor escalations.
• Maintain SOPs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements*

3. 3. CMDB / asset management and Intune / MDM exposure
4. 4. Strong coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills

Key Responsibilities*

1. 1. Maintain and standardize global printer inventory (MFPs, Zebra, OD printers); ensure CMDB is the system of record.
2. 2. Validate printer asset data with regional IT teams and support accurate reporting and lifecycle governance.
3. 3. Manage print servers, ensuring supported OS, security patching, and decommissioning of obsolete servers and queues.
4. 4. Own printer driver management, including approval, deployment, and cleanup of legacy drivers and deployments (Intune / MDM).
5. 5. Administer VSPX global print management platform; onboard/offboard printers and maintain configuration accuracy.
6. 6. Execute standardized printer onboarding and offboarding, including configuration, security setup, queue mapping, and CMDB updates.
7. 7. Provide L2/L3 support for printer incidents; coordinate vendor escalations and networkrelated issue resolution.
8. 8. Maintain SOPs, documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
