Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on PLC & HMI Programmer with 23 years of experience in PLC programming, HMI development, electrical control systems, panel engineering, machine commissioning and troubleshooting.
The candidate should be capable of working across the complete controls scope—from electrical schematics and panel layout to PLC/HMI programming, field wiring, machine commissioning and customer-site support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC programs for SPMs, robotic cells and industrial automation systems.
- Develop HMI screens, machine sequences, alarms, recipes, diagnostics and operator interfaces.
- Prepare and review electrical wiring diagrams and control schematics.
- Prepare control panel layouts, component layouts and terminal plans.
- Develop I/O lists, cable schedules, terminal plans and control panel documentation.
- Select and integrate PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, relays, contactors, SMPS, safety components and other control hardware.
- Perform PLC–HMI–Robot–Machine integration.
- Configure and troubleshoot Digital I/O, Analog I/O and industrial communication networks.
- Work with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Omron or equivalent PLC platforms.

- Develop PLC–Robot communication and handshake logic.
- Develop machine Auto/Manual/Jog modes, interlocks, alarms, fault recovery and sequence logic.
- Support electrical panel assembly, field wiring and I/O checking.
- Conduct point-to-point wiring checks and I/O validation during commissioning.
- Support FAT, SAT, machine trials and customer-site commissioning.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, electrical, wiring, drive, sensor and communication-related issues.
- Optimize machine cycle time and improve machine reliability.
- Prepare PLC/HMI backups, electrical drawings, I/O lists, commissioning reports and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Robot Programming, Design and Project teams.
- Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
