Job summary

Velastra seeks engineers to design and implement PLC-based automation systems at customer sites. You will develop PLC programs, configure HMIs/SCADAs, and integrate VFDs, servo drives and sensors to meet machine and process requirements.

The role requires testing, debugging, commissioning, and documentation. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and project teams to ensure smooth system integration and provide post-installation support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, program and commission PLC-based automation systems.
• Develop and modify PLC programs per machine/process/customer requirements.
• Configure and integrate HMI, SCADA, VFD, servo drives, sensors and other components.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, debugging and commissioning at customer sites.
• Understand electrical control panels, control logic, I/O configuration and automation architecture.
• Prepare and maintain PLC programs, control logic, documentation and system configuration records.
• Analyze machine/process requirements and provide suitable automation solutions.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and project teams for integration.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and after-sales activities.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, communication and control-system issues and implement corrective actions.
