Job summary

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Chennai seeks a Senior PLC Programmer with strong PLC, HMI, and SCADA expertise to lead automation projects from design to site commissioning. You will work with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi platforms, develop and test control logic, create HMI screens, and support installation, FAT/SAT, and handover at customer sites.

Travel to customer sites as needed to ensure successful project execution and seamless integration with electrical and service teams.

Qualifications

• Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC control logic for industrial automation systems.
• Design and configure HMI screens for machine/process control and visualization.
• Develop and maintain SCADA systems for monitoring and process control.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC control logic for industrial automation systems.
• Design and configure HMI screens for machine/process control and visualization.

• Work on automation platforms including: Allen Bradley PLC, HMI & SCADA; Siemens PLC, HMI & SCADA; Mitsubishi PLC, HMI & SCADA (Mandatory) High Priority
• Understand and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and panel wiring diagrams
• Support control panel installation, machine wiring verification, and system integration
• Perform installation, commissioning, startup, and validation of PLC-based systems at customer sites
• Conduct I/O checking, loop testing, FAT/SAT, and ensure smooth system handover
• Diagnose and resolve issues during commissioning and production support
• Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and support activities when required. Coordinate with project, electrical, and service teams for successful project execution.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PLC Programmer with strong expertise in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, along with hands-on experience in installation and commissioning of automation systems. The ideal candidate should be experienced in industrial automation platforms such as Rockwell Automation Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi Electric and should be capable of handling projects from design to successful site commissioning.
