Description: We are looking for a hands on PLC & Electrical Controls Engineer with 3–5 years of experience who enjoys building, commissioning, and debugging real industrial systems. This role focuses on PLC programming, I/O bring up, electrical wiring, testing, and troubleshooting, working directly with hardware on a daily basis. You will own the complete electrical control system end to end, from interpreting requirements and wiring panels to implementing PLC logic, testing subsystems, and supporting commissioning. The ideal candidate is a self driven engineer who works independently, takes strong ownership, and can mentor junior team members when needed.

Responsibilities

PLC Programming & Logic Development

• Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs using Ladder Logic and/or Structured Text.
• Design and implement start/stop sequences, alarms, interlocks, timers, and fault‑handling routines.
• Create and maintain I/O lists and I/O maps using device datasheets (addressing, scaling, limits).
• Perform offline logic reviews and on‑hardware debugging during bring‑up and testing.
• Support optimization, troubleshooting, and incremental improvements to existing PLC programs.

Electrical Integration & Panel Wiring

• Independently execute and review control panel wiring, including sensors, relays, contactors, switches, and actuators.
• Perform I/O bring‑up: continuity checks, signal verification, polarity validation, and fault isolation.
• Read, interpret, and update electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and terminal layouts.
• Ensure safe work practices when handling 24V DC and low voltage control systems, including basic protection and grounding.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers or technicians during wiring and testing activities.

Sensors, Actuators & Instrumentation

• Integrate, configure, and test industrial sensors and actuators such as proximity sensors, pressure transmitters, limit switches, motor starters, and solenoid valves.
• Calibrate and scale 4–20 mA and 0–10 V analog signals within PLC programs.
• Apply good practices for grounding, shielding, and noise mitigation to ensure reliable signals.
• Diagnose and resolve issues including incorrect sensor readings, wiring faults, PLC logic errors, and non‑responsive outputs.
• Use diagnostic tools such as multimeter, continuity tester, and PLC diagnostics to isolate issues efficiently.
• Lead or support subsystem bring‑up, functional testing, and site commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of wiring changes, PLC program revisions, and test results.

Ownership & Task Execution

• Take full responsibility for assigned systems or subsystems, from planning through commissioning and closure.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting technical, safety, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with mechanical, process, or operations teams to resolve integration issues.
• Deliver robust, maintainable, and clearly documented control solutions.

Required Qualification

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in PLC programming and electrical controls.

Preferred Qualification

• Knowledge of grounding, shielding, and electrical noise reduction techniques.
• Basic experience with panel design or ECAD tools.
• Prior experience guiding or reviewing work done by junior engineers or technicians.
