Job summary

Process Technix in Pune is seeking an automation engineer to develop and optimize PLC logic, configure HMI/SCADA interfaces, and ensure seamless system integration with field devices. You will implement reliable communication across industrial networks and participate in FAT/SAT and on-site debugging.

The role requires 2–5 years of hands-on automation experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency with Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Rockwell platforms. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years hands-on industrial automation programming experience.
• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Instrumentation.
• Proficiency with Siemens (TIA Portal/Step 7), Mitsubishi, Rockwell Automation platforms.
• Ability to read electrical control panel wiring diagrams and P&ID schematics.
• Strong analytical thinking, cross-functional communication, and readiness for field travel.

• Program Development: Write, modify, and optimize PLC logic using Ladder Logic (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), or Structured Text (ST).
• HMI/SCADA Configuration: Design and configure operator interfaces and supervisory control systems for real-time monitoring.
• System Integration: Connect PLCs with field instruments, sensors, actuators, servo drives, and VFDs.
• Communication Protocols: Implement industrial networks like Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, or Ethernet/IP.
• Testing and Commissioning: Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and field hardware debugging.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical, hardware, and software issues to reduce factory downtime.
• Documentation: Maintain version control, code backups, electrical schematics, and operational manuals.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on industrial automation programming experience.
• Education: Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation.
