Job summary

Ficus Pax in Hyderabad, India, seeks a commercially strong and operations‑oriented leader to independently manage plant operations as well as sales and business development in the packaging industry.

You will drive production planning, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and ensure targets for production, quality, cost and delivery are met while expanding customer relationships and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day‑to‑day plant operations; plan and monitor production per orders and business needs; ensure targets for production, quality, cost and delivery.
• Coordinate between Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, PPC, HR and Dispatch; identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions; control losses, wastage, rejection and downtime.
• Develop and execute sales strategies for packaging products; generate new business opportunities and expand customer base; handle key customers and negotiate proposals within approved limits.

Role & responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day-to-day plant operations.
• Plan and monitor production as per customer orders and business requirements.
• Ensure achievement of production, quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Monitor plant capacity utilization and optimize manpower, machines and resources.
• Ensure smooth coordination between Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, PPC, HR and Dispatch.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Control production losses, wastage, rejection and downtime.

• Develop and execute sales strategies for packaging products.
• Generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
• Identify potential customers and market opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Handle key customers and understand their packaging requirements.
• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations and negotiate pricing within approved limits
