Job summary

Evergreen Enterprises is seeking a Plant & Machinery Supervisor/Technician to lead operation, maintenance, and repairs of construction equipment across project sites in India. The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 2–4 years’ hands-on experience with drilling rigs, pumps, and other heavy machinery.

You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor equipment performance, and coordinate with engineers and crews to ensure safe, efficient site work.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
• 2–4 years of experience in plant and machinery maintenance, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Practical knowledge of construction equipment such as drilling rigs, compressors, grouting pumps, excavators, generators, and other site machinery.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work in site conditions as required.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of construction plant and machinery.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain equipment service records, breakdown reports, and maintenance logs.
• Monitor the condition and availability of machinery at project sites.
• Coordinate with site engineers, operators, and maintenance teams for equipment requirements.
• Ensure proper usage, safety, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Assist in spare parts identification, inventory control, and procurement requirements.
• Monitor fuel consumption and machinery performance.
• Coordinate equipment mobilization, demobilization, and inter-site transfers.
