Job summary

Maxvolt Energy Industries in India’s Uttar Pradesh region seeks a senior Production Manager to lead lithium-ion battery manufacturing. You will oversee production planning, scheduling, cross-functional collaboration with R&D, engineering and logistics, and ensure delivery of targets.

You will drive lean improvements, enforce quality control, safety compliance and cost optimization while developing the team through coaching and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree required in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of production management experience in manufacturing, preferably in Li-ion battery industry.
• Strong knowledge of battery manufacturing processes, quality control, lean principles and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee entire production process, plan and schedule to meet demand and maximize productivity.
• Lead production team, conduct performance reviews and drive professional development.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and implement QC procedures.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste via lean manufacturing.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and conduct safety audits and training.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Production Management

• Oversee the entire production process to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet demand and maximize productivity.
• Monitor production activities and adjust schedules as needed to maintain workflow.

2. Team Leadership

• Lead, manage, and motivate the production team to achieve production goals.

3. Quality Control

6. Inventory and Resource Management

• Manage inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of materials and components.
• Coordinate with procurement to source materials and negotiate with suppliers.
• Optimize resource utilization to minimize costs and maximize output.

7. Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare and maintain detailed production reports and records.
• Analyze production data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure accurate documentation of production processes and standard operating procedures.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with other departments, including R&D, engineering, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
• Communicate production status, challenges, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience minimum in production management, preferably within the Lithium-ion battery industry.
• Expertise in Battery Manufacturing, Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Process Optimization, and Technical & Engineering Skills.
• Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance.
• Project Management, Communication, and Collaboration skills.
• Customer-focused with commitment to Sustainable Practices.
• IT and software proficiency.
