Job summary

ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. in Yamunanagar invites applications for a Planning Engineer.

You will prepare detailed production schedules for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, and other static equipment, coordinating with Design, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth execution. The role focuses on hands-on planning and shop-floor scheduling, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–10 years of experience in Planning, preferably in heavy engineering.
• Hands-on planning and scheduling for Pressure Vessels and Heat Exchangers.
• Good understanding of shop-floor scheduling, fabrication sequences, and welding processes.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and fabrication standards.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor detailed production schedules for manufacturing of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns and reactors.
• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Production, Quality and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Develop and track shop-floor schedules, monitor progress against plan and identify bottlenecks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly production reports, material status reports and project progress updates.
• Ensure availability of drawings, BOMs, raw materials and bought-out items per production plan.
• Monitor fabrication activities including cutting, forming, welding, NDT, PWHT, machining and hydrotesting.
• Follow up with internal departments and vendors to achieve milestones and delivery dates.
• Participate in capacity planning, load balancing and optimization of manufacturing resources.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• 3–10 years of experience in Planning, preferably in a heavy engineering or fabrication environment.
• Hands-on experience in planning and scheduling for Pressure Vessels and Heat Exchangers manufacturing.
• Good understanding of shop-floor scheduling, fabrication sequences, and welding processes.
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1, ASME Section II, Section V, Section IX, and other applicable fabrication standards.
