Job summary

ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. in Yamunanagar seeks a Senior Planning Engineer to lead production scheduling for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other static equipment.

You will coordinate with design, procurement, production, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery while optimizing shop floor sequencing. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–12 years of Planning experience in heavy fabrication.
• Hands-on planning and scheduling for pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
• Good understanding of shop floor sequencing and fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with ASME Section VIII Div. 1, II, V, IX and related standards.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Excel/MS Project/Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor detailed production schedules for manufacturing of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, and other static equipment.
• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Develop and track shop floor schedules, monitor progress against plan, and identify bottlenecks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly production and material status reports and project progress updates.
• Ensure availability of drawings, BOMs, raw materials, and bought-out items per production plan.
• Monitor fabrication activities including cutting, forming, welding, NDT, PWHT, machining, hydrotesting, and final dispatch.
• Follow up with internal departments and vendors to meet milestones and delivery dates.
• Participate in capacity planning, load balancing, and optimization of manufacturing resources.
• Support implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Develop and track shop floor schedules, monitor progress against plan, and identify bottlenecks affecting delivery timelines.
• Prepare weekly and monthly production reports, material status reports, and project progress updates.
• Ensure availability of drawings, BOMs, raw materials, and bought-out items as per the production plan.
• Monitor fabrication activities including cutting, forming, fit-up, welding, NDT, PWHT, machining, hydrotesting, and final dispatch.
• Follow up with internal departments and vendors to achieve project milestones and committed delivery dates.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6 - 12 years of experience in Planning in a heavy engineering or fabrication environment.
• Hands-on experience in planning and scheduling for Pressure Vessels and Heat Exchangers manufacturing.
• Good understanding of shop floor scheduling, fabrication sequences, and welding processes.
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1, ASME Section II, V, IX, and other applicable fabrication standards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project/Primavera for scheduling and tracking.
