Job summary

Nyati Group is seeking an experienced Project Planning & Scheduling professional in Mohali, Punjab to lead planning activities for EPC projects. You will design detailed schedules, manage WBS, and coordinate across engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires 8 to 15 years in EPC or construction planning, strong MSP and CPM skills, and the ability to track progress, identify risks, and drive mitigation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
• Masters degree or certification in Project Management (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules using MS Projects and define WBS.
• Track progress, analyze variances and prepare recovery plans.
• Align deliverables across engineering, procurement and construction phases.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards.
• Perform critical path/ delay analysis and support planning inputs.
• Estimate manpower, equipment and material requirements.
• Coordinate schedule with cost controls and EVM processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed project schedules using tools like MS Projects.
• Define work breakdown structure (WBS) and activity sequencing
• Establish project baselines (scope, schedule, milestones)

2. Progress Monitoring & Control

• Track actual progress vs planned progress
• Conduct variance analysis and identify schedule deviations
• Prepare recovery plans and mitigation strategies for delays

3. Coordination Across EPC Phases

• Align engineering deliverables, procurement timelines, and construction activities
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and site teams
• Ensure inter-departmental dependencies are reflected in schedules

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
• Present dashboards and MIS reports to senior management and clients
• Maintain project documentation and planning records

5. Risk & Delay Analysis

• Perform critical path analysis and identify potential bottlenecks
• Conduct delay analysis (EOT claims, impact assessments)
• Support contract management team with planning inputs

6. Resource Planning

• Estimate manpower, equipment, and material requirements
• Optimize resource allocation across project phases

7. Cost & Time Integration

• Work closely with cost control teams to align schedule with budgets
• Support earned value management (EVM) processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
• Masters degree or certification in Project Management (preferred)

Experience

• 8 to 15 years of experience in planning/scheduling in EPC or construction projects
• Experience in large-scale EPC,infrastructure,oil & gas, power, industrial projects,commercial projects preferred
