Job summary

Exotica Infratech is seeking a Project Planning Manager in India to lead planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of large-scale projects. You will coordinate with site, engineering, procurement, and contracts teams to track progress and identify delays, ensuring timely completion within budgets and quality standards.

The role requires a Civil/Construction background and 8-12 years of project planning experience in real estate or infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in project planning and project controls.
  • Experience in real estate, residential/commercial construction, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, project scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the overall project schedule using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
  • Prepare detailed baseline schedules, work programs, and milestone plans.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, contracts, and other departments for project planning.
  • Monitor actual progress against the approved project schedule and identify delays, critical activities, and schedule risks.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
  • Conduct regular progress review meetings with project and site teams.
  • Track planned vs. actual progress and prepare variance analysis.
  • Identify the critical path and ensure timely completion of critical activities.
  • Prepare look-ahead schedules and coordinate with site teams for upcoming activities.
  • Develop recovery plans and recommend corrective measures in case of project delays.
  • Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and resource requirements against the project schedule.
  • Coordinate with procurement and commercial teams to ensure timely availability of materials and services.
  • Review contractor/subcontractor schedules and monitor their performance against commitments.
  • Maintain project planning records, schedules, progress updates, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare S-curves, progress curves, productivity reports, and earned value/progress analysis where required.
  • Support project management in forecasting project completion dates and potential delays.
  • Analyse schedule changes and their impact on project completion.
  • Assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) documentation and delay analysis, wherever applicable.
  • Ensure that project planning activities are aligned with contractual requirements and management objectives.
  • Present project progress and key planning issues to senior management.

Job description
