Job summary

alfanar seeks an experienced Team Head - Planning to lead Project Controls across large-scale EPC projects in India. You will drive planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, risk management, and contract administration to meet schedule and budget targets.

You will develop integrated EPC Level 3 schedules using Primavera P6, update SAP budgets, and produce EVM, variance analyses, and dashboards for senior management. A senior professional with 15+ years in EPC planning is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical engineering. MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of Planning/Project Controls & Cost Control experience in EPC.
• Experience in EPC projects across Power, Infrastructure, Water, Oil & Gas, hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated EPC Level 3 schedules using Primavera P6 and Level 2 schedules for bids.
• Monitor budgets, costs, and forecast variances; update SAP budgets.
• Manage change control, risk registers, and contractual deliverables.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Team Head - Planning to lead Project Controls functions across large-scale EPC projects. The incumbent will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, reporting, risk management, and contract administration while supporting project delivery within schedule and budget targets.

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and manage integrated EPC Level 3 schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare Level 2 schedules for bidding and proposal submissions.
• Update and maintain project master schedules.
• Conduct Critical Path Analysis and identify mitigation plans.
• Develop recovery schedules, revised baselines, and delay analysis reports.
• Monitor project progress and milestone achievement.
• Lead planning review meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders.

Cost Control

• Monitor project budgets, commitments, and cost performance.
• Support teams in minimizing schedule and cost overruns.
• Perform cost forecasting and variance analysis.
• Update and monitor project budgets in SAP.
• Review target budgets with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams.
• Prepare cost reports and management dashboards.

Project Controls & Contracts

• Manage change control processes and variation tracking.
• Support risk identification and risk register management.
• Monitor contractual deliverables and project compliance.
• Support invoicing and project billing activities.
• Assist in claims and extension-of-time assessments.

Reporting

• Prepare monthly progress reports and executive summaries.
• Develop Earned Value Management (EVM) reports.
• Generate progress curves, S-curves, and staffing histograms.
• Provide schedule forecasts and performance KPI reports.
• Prepare management presentations and statistical reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical).
• MBA preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Planning, Project Controls & Cost Control.
• Strong experience in EPC projects within Power, Infrastructure, Water, Oil & Gas, or Hospitality sectors.
• GCC/KSA project experience preferred.
