Job summary

Apex Infralink is seeking a Planning & Billing Engineer for the Jamnagar location (Gujarat). The contract role spans 1 year and requires 6–8 years of engineering experience in mechanical/civil disciplines, with exposure to industrial construction, oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical projects. Duties include scheduling, cost control, and accurate billing for L&T projects.

The role involves 12-hour workdays, Sundays off, and accommodation plus daily transport provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Educational qualification must be B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Experience in Industrial Construction / Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical sectors preferred.
• Immediate joiners are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret contractual requirements, BOQ and project scope.
• Assist in Baseline schedules and EOT claims using Primavera P6.
• Contribute to cost control and monthly planning aligned with turnover targets.
• Support execution method finalization and develop resource plans.
• Forecast FIM requirements and coordinate with internal teams and clients.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and execution team to meet monthly targets.
• Prepare contractual correspondence and technical documentation with PM.
• Participate in weekly/monthly client and stakeholder reviews.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets and track performance against targets.
• Review and report project progress, identify risks and mitigations.
• Monitor daily activities to align with master schedule and milestones.
• Ensure accurate billing based on executed work.

Role & responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of Baseline Schedules, Impacted Schedules, and Extension of Time (EOT) claims using Primavera P6.

• Support the finalization of execution methods and develop resource plans accordingly.
• Forecast Free Issue Material (FIM) requirements and communicate timely with internal teams and clients.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and the execution team to meet monthly targets and resolve site hindrances.
• Prepare contractual correspondence and technical documentation, ensuring alignment with project clauses (in consultation with the Project Manager).
• Participate in weekly/monthly review meetings with the client and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, tracking performance against targets.
• Regularly review and report on project progress, identifying risks and mitigation measures.
• Monitor daily activities to ensure alignment with the master schedule and planned milestones.
• Ensure accurate billing is conducted based on executed work.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other planning tools like MS Project, MS Excel, etc.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems in fabrication and piping domains.
