Job summary

TATA Consulting Engineers Limited is seeking a skilled Billing/Quantity Certification engineer for projects in Jamnagar, Gujarat. You will verify contractor bills, measure quantities, certify operations, and ensure compliance with contracts across large industrial and infrastructure assignments.

The role requires 5–8 years of experience, strong knowledge of BOQs, drawings, and SAP for billing, along with advanced MS Excel capabilities and stakeholder coordination in a fast-paced project

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in billing, quantity verification, and certification for industrial, infrastructure, EPC, or large construction projects.
• Strong exposure to: quantity certification, contractor bill verification, contract administration.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, BOQs, and contract documents.
• Hands-on experience in SAP for billing, quantity tracking, and commercial activities.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including large data sets, lookups, pivot tables, and accuracy checks.

Responsibilities

• Verification and certification of contractor bills based on actual executed quantities.
• Measurement, quantification, and certification of structural fabrication and erection work; equipment installation works; P&M utilization under MOUs.
• Review and validation of quantity calculations submitted by contractors.
• Preparation and certification of running account (RA) bills and final bills.
• Monitoring contract compliance and ensuring billing is processed as per contract terms.
• Coordination with site execution, planning, contracts, and project control teams for bill verification.
• Identification and resolution of quantity discrepancies and billing-related issues.
• Maintaining documentation and records of measurement sheets, certifications, and billing approvals.
• Supporting cost control and project commercial functions through accurate quantity assessment and certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Verification and certification of contractor bills based on actual executed quantities.
• Measurement, quantification, and certification of:
• Structural fabrication and erection work
• Equipment installation works
• Plant & Machinery (P&M) utilization under MOU-based contracts
• Review and validation of quantity calculations submitted by contractors.
• Preparation and certification of running account (RA) bills and final bills.
• Monitoring contract compliance and ensuring billing is processed as per approved contract terms and conditions.
• Coordination with site execution, planning, contracts, and project control teams for bill verification.

• Experience working on large-scale industrial, energy, petrochemical, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of commercial, contractual, and billing procedures.
