Job summary

Onshore Construction is seeking a Planning Engineer for industrial construction, oil & gas, or petrochemical projects. You will develop schedules, baseline plans, look-ahead activities, and dashboards using Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring alignment with project specs.

Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors, monitor progress, prepare status reports, and support recovery plans. A Civil/Mechanical/Electrical degree with 3+ years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial construction, oil & gas, petrochemical, or EPC projects.
• Hands-on with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Strong planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and project controls.
• Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, manpower/equipment plans, and progress reports.
• Monitor actual project progress against planned schedules and identify delays or deviations.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and subcontractor teams.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and dashboards.
• Analyze project delays and assist in developing recovery and catch-up plans.
• Track critical activities, milestones, productivity, and resource utilization.
• Prepare progress measurement, S-curves, and schedule updates.
• Participate in planning meetings and provide regular project status updates to management.
• Ensure planning activities are aligned with project specifications, contractual requirements, and HSE objectives.

• Strong coordination, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Refinery, petrochemical plants, process plants, pipelines, tank farms, structural works, mechanical erection, and other industrial construction projects.
