Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer Planning with strong expertise in Project Planning and Scheduling exclusively for Oil & Gas projects. The candidate must have hands‑on experience in preparing and monitoring project schedules, tracking progress, delay analysis, resource planning, MIS, and project reporting using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

Note: Only candidates with core Project Planning experience in the Oil & Gas industry will be considered. Candidates from other industries will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules and baseline plans for Oil & Gas projects.
• Prepare project plans and schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors, and project teams to integrate activities into the master schedule.
• Monitor project progress against planned schedules and identify delays, deviations, and critical path activities.
• Perform delay analysis and maintain relevant planning records and registers.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and MIS.
• Prepare and monitor resource plans for manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Support preparation of cash flow statements and job cost reports to monitor project health.
• Identify schedule‑related risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Evaluate the impact of changes in scope, resources, and schedules.
• Review tender and contract documents and prepare planning‑related summaries.
• Ensure proper documentation and support timely project completion and handover.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Mandatory
• Minimum 10 years of core experience in Project Planning
• Mandatory experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Strong experience in planning and scheduling Oil & Gas projects
• Hands‑on experience with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, baseline planning, critical path analysis, progress monitoring, and delay analysis.
• Experience in preparing project MIS, progress reports, and planning documentation.
• Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
