Job summary

LR Energy is seeking a proactive Planning Engineer (Civil/Mechanical) in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, to support the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of PMC/EPC projects. Develop schedules, track progress, coordinate with stakeholders, optimize resources, ensure timely execution while upholding safety and contractual requirements.

Qualified candidates will have 5–8 years' experience in construction planning, a BE/BTech in Civil or Mechanical, and proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.).
• Primavera P6 and/or MS Project certification preferred.
• 5–8 years of planning, scheduling and project controls experience in construction.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Develop WBS and execution plans; define activities, milestones and resources.
• Monitor progress, analyze variances, and report status to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with PMs, site engineers, contractors and clients; support budgeting and forecasts.

Planning /Billing Engineer

Compensation – 6,50,000 -7,00000 LPA

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Planning Engineer (Civil / Mechanical) to support the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of PMC/EPC projects. The incumbent will be responsible for developing project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with project stakeholders, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring timely project execution while maintaining quality, safety, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare and maintain baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project execution plans.
• Define project activities, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Prepare short-term, look-ahead, recovery, and catch-up schedules.
• Develop activity-wise quantity schedules with appropriate weightages.
• Prepare project execution methodologies and planning strategies.

2. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules.
• Track critical and near-critical activities and identify potential delays.
• Conduct schedule variance and delay analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Update project schedules based on actual site progress.
• Identify and monitor the project critical path.
• Prepare and maintain project S-Curves, progress curves, and performance indicators.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.

3. Coordination & Resource Planning

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Contractors, Consultants, and Clients.
• Monitor deployment of manpower, machinery, materials, and subcontractors.
• Support resource optimization and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for timely material delivery and availability.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide planning inputs.
• Assist in project budgeting, cost monitoring, and forecasting.
• Track project performance indicators and productivity metrics.
• Identify project risks, constraints, and schedule impacts.
• Develop mitigation and recovery plans to minimize delays.
• Support preparation of project cash flow forecasts and dashboards.

5. Documentation & MIS

• Maintain project planning records, logs, and scheduling documents.
• Prepare management presentations and project status reports.
• Ensure proper documentation of schedule revisions, delays, claims, and change orders.
• Generate MIS reports, project analytics, and performance dashboards.
• Maintain project planning databases and document control records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E. Civil/Mech).
• Certification in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project will be preferred.

Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls for construction projects.
• Experience in PMC, EPC, Industrial, Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, CBG, STP/WTP, Oil & Gas.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and / or MS Project.
• Strong understanding of CPM Scheduling, project controls, and resource planning.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies and project life cycle management.
• Expertise in preparation of S-Curves, cash flow forecasts, and progress measurement systems.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines.
