Pharmacy is responsible for the safe and accurate dispensing, storage, inventory management, and distribution of medicines and pharmaceutical supplies. The supports medication safety, prescription verification, stock control, documentation, patient counselling, and coordination with doctors and nursing teams to ensure timely availability of medicines.

• Review prescriptions and medication orders before dispensing.
• Verify medicine names, strengths, dosage forms, quantities, and expiry dates.
• Dispense medicines according to authorized prescriptions.
• Provide appropriate medication-use instructions to patients and attendants.
• Maintain adequate stock of medicines and pharmacy supplies.
• Monitor expiry dates, batch numbers, and stock rotation.
• Ensure appropriate storage conditions for pharmaceutical products.
• Maintain records of medicines received, dispensed, returned, and transferred.
• Handle controlled and restricted medicines according to applicable procedures.
• Conduct stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
• Identify stock shortages, damaged medicines, and near-expiry products.
• Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding medication requirements.
• Support procurement and replenishment activities.
