An OT Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining the operation theatre, surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables while supporting surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing teams during procedures. The ensures proper theatre readiness, sterile practices, equipment handling, documentation, and compliance with infection-control and patient-safety standards.

• Prepare the operation theatre before scheduled procedures.
• Check OT equipment, instruments, and consumables for readiness.
• Arrange required surgical instruments and supplies.
• Assist in preparing and positioning patients as directed.
• Support surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during procedures.
• Maintain sterile and aseptic conditions in the OT.
• Assist with surgical instrument preparation and handling.
• Operate OT equipment according to training and assigned scope.
• Ensure availability of emergency equipment and supplies.
• Assist with instrument and consumable counts.
• Maintain proper handling of sterile materials.
• Clean and prepare OT areas after procedures.
• Assist with disinfection and sterilization-related activities as applicable.
• Handle and segregate biomedical waste according to procedures.
• Maintain OT registers and procedure-related documentation.
