Pharmacy is responsible for supporting the safe and effective management of medicines within the healthcare facility. The includes prescription verification, dispensing, inventory management, medicine storage, documentation, stock control, and coordination with doctors, nurses, patients, and other departments.

• Review prescriptions and medication orders before dispensing.
• Verify medicine name, strength, dosage, quantity, and expiry date.
• Dispense medicines according to authorized prescriptions.
• Provide appropriate medication-related information to patients and attendants.
• Maintain adequate stock of medicines and pharmacy supplies.
• Monitor medicine expiry dates and stock levels.
• Ensure proper storage of medicines according to applicable requirements.
• Maintain records of medicines received, dispensed, returned, and transferred.
• Perform physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
• Monitor shortages, damaged medicines, and near-expiry products.
• Coordinate with doctors and nursing teams regarding medication requirements.
• Assist with procurement and replenishment activities.
• Handle controlled and restricted medicines according to applicable procedures.
• Maintain pharmacy registers and documentation.
