Job summary

Centre For Sight in Nashik district is seeking an OT Technician to support ophthalmic procedures. You will prepare the operation theatre, arrange instruments and equipment, and assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgeries.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or B.Sc. in OT Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience in ophthalmic/eye hospital preferred.
  • Freshers with OT technician training may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operation theatre before and after ophthalmic procedures.
  • Arrange and check surgical instruments, trays, consumables, and OT equipment.
  • Assist the ophthalmic surgeon and nursing staff during surgeries.
  • Handle ophthalmic instruments carefully, including microsurgical instruments.
  • Perform cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and proper storage of instruments as per hospital protocols.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and infection-control standards.
  • Prepare patients for surgery and assist with safe transfer to and from the OT.
  • Check availability and functioning of equipment such as operating microscope, phaco machine, cautery, suction, and other ophthalmic equipment.
