The ideal candidate should have 3 years of OT technician experience with hands-on vitreoretinal surgery exposure, and a Diploma/Bachelor's in OTT or equivalent.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled OT Technician to support vitreoretinal and ophthalmic surgical procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, OT efficiency, and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the Operation Theatre for retina and other ophthalmic surgeries.
• Assist retina surgeons during vitreoretinal procedures, including vitrectomy and related surgeries.
• Handle, prepare, and maintain ophthalmic surgical instruments, microscopes, vitrectomy machines, lasers, and other OT equipment.
• Ensure proper sterilization, disinfection, and maintenance of surgical instruments in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Prepare patients pre-operatively and assist with patient positioning and intraoperative requirements.
• Monitor and manage OT consumables, implants, medications, and surgical inventory.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing staff, and other departments for smooth OT workflow.
• Maintain accurate OT documentation, surgical records, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Mentor and guide junior OT technicians to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with NABH and hospital quality protocols.

Eligibility

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an OT Technician.
• Extensive hands-on experience in OT and vitreoretinal surgeries is essential.
• Experience in a reputed eye hospital will be an added advantage.
