Job summary

Qualifications

• Mandatory Orthopaedic OT experience and knowledge of sterile techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the orthopaedic operation theatre, instruments, equipment, and supplies before procedures.
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during orthopaedic operations.
• Arrange and handle orthopaedic surgical instruments and equipment as required.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and transfer under the clinical team.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
• Check availability and functionality of OT equipment and supplies.
• Perform instrument counting before and after surgical procedures.
• Ensure cleaning, sterilization, storage, and maintenance of surgical instruments.
• Maintain OT records and required documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, anaesthesia staff, and other OT personnel.
• Follow hospital quality, safety, and patient-care standards.
