Job summary

Abateas is seeking an experienced Operations Theater Manager to oversee day-to-day OT functions in a surgical setting in India. You will ensure patient safety, infection control, and optimal use of OT resources, coordinating with ophthalmologists, anesthetists, nurses, and OT technicians.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage schedules, equipment, stocks, and SOP compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing OT operations and staff.
• Knowledge of infection control and SOPs.
• Ability to coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily OT operations, scheduling, and procedures.
• Ensure OT cleanliness, sterilization, infection control, and safety.
• Coordinate with ophthalmologists, anesthetists, nurses, and OT technicians.
• Maintain OT equipment, instruments, consumables, and emergency stock.
• Prepare patients and OT before every surgery.
• Maintain OT records, checklists, and documentation.
• Monitor staff performance, duty allocation, and adherence to SOPs.
• Report equipment issues, stock shortages, and operational concerns to management.
