Job summary

Seating World India in Hyderabad is seeking an Operations Coordinator for D8 Showroom and Magari. The role connects the factory, vendors, delivery teams and the showroom floor, ensuring orders and stock reach the right place on time while keeping displays ready and aligning for custom orders with design/architect sign-off.

You will coordinate across vendors and clients, manage stock in Tally/Excel, read basic drawings, and communicate timelines to prevent escalations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in furniture/logistics preferred.
• Comfortable working across Excel/Tally for stock and vendor tracking.
• Able to read basic technical drawings/specs and communicate them accurately to factory and vendor teams.
• Willing to be on the showroom floor and travel between sites as needed — not a desk-only role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and the factory to plan and track delivery timelines for showroom and client orders.
• Consolidate and schedule dispatches across locations — factory, showrooms, and client sites.
• Track items sent out for photoshoots or client demos and confirm their return and current location.
• Own and maintain the stock tracking sheet across floor stock, factory stock, and back stock, keeping it current in Tally/Excel.
• Supervise on-floor furniture arrangement and display setup across showroom locations.
• Coordinate showroom walkthroughs covering layout changes, partitions, flooring, and new display planning.
• Coordinate with architects and designers on technical approvals for custom pieces before production.
• Feed pricing and technical inputs into client presentations and quotations as needed.
• Maintain end-to-end order tracking for key clients from confirmation through delivery.
• Keep the sales team and client informed of realistic delivery timelines, and escalate early if a date will slip.
• Direct and check in on on-site delivery/installation staff for daily task execution.
• Report operational status, vendor issues, and delivery risks to management on a regular cadence.

Role Summary

The Operations Coordinator is the on-ground link between the factory, vendors, delivery teams, and the showroom floor. This role owns day-to-day execution across three areas: getting orders and stock to the right place on time, keeping the showroom floor display-ready, and acting as the technical go-between for custom furniture orders that need design or architect sign-off. The role reports directly to management and is expected to flag issues — delays, damage, mismatched stock — before they become client escalations.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Delivery Coordination

• Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and the factory to plan and track delivery timelines for showroom and client orders.
• Consolidate and schedule dispatches across locations — factory, showrooms, and client sites — including arranging shared vehicle runs where possible.
• Track shipments in transit and proactively flag delays, damaged goods, or short deliveries to management.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Own and maintain the stock tracking sheet across floor stock, factory stock, and back stock, keeping it current in Tally/Excel.
• Track items sent out for photoshoots or client demos and confirm their return and current location.
• Support periodic stock audits and reconcile purchase orders (PIs) against what is actually on the floor.

Showroom Floor & Display Operations

• Supervise on-floor furniture arrangement and display setup across showroom locations, sequencing work per management priority.
• Coordinate showroom walkthroughs covering layout changes, partitions, flooring, and new display planning.
• Ensure display and setup tasks are completed before floor stock or material is moved off-site for other jobs.

Design & Technical Liaison

• Coordinate with architects and designers on technical approvals for custom pieces (e.g., dining table dimensions, slab sizing, leg clearance) before production.
• Support fabric and material selection sessions and relay final specifications to the factory and vendors accurately.
• Feed pricing and technical inputs into client presentations and quotations as needed.

Client & CRM Support

• Maintain end-to-end order tracking for key clients from confirmation through delivery.

• Coordinate site visits, sample deliveries, and related logistics (including cash deposit handling where assigned).
• Keep the sales team and client informed of realistic delivery timelines, and escalated early if a date will slip.

Team & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Direct and check in on on-site delivery/installation staff for daily task execution.
• Report operational status, vendor issues, and delivery risks to management on a regular cadence.
• Participate in operations review meetings covering KRA tracking, vendor dispatch, and SOP rollout.

What Success Looks Like

• Deliveries are scheduled and communicated proactively, with delays flagged before the client has to ask.
• The stock sheet is accurate enough that anyone on the team can trust it without a physical recheck.
• Showroom floors are display-ready and technical/design sign-offs on custom orders don't stall production.
• Deliveries are smooth and material is delivered in a professional manner with emphasis on QA.

Requirements

• Prior experience in furniture, interior design, retail operations, or a similarly logistics-heavy environment preferred.
• Comfortable working across Excel/Tally for stock and vendor tracking.
• Able to read basic technical drawings/specs and communicate them accurately to factory and vendor teams.
• Strong follow-through and comfortable being the point of contact across multiple sites (showroom, factory, client locations).
• Willing to be on the showroom floor and travel between sites as needed — this is not a desk-only role.
