Job summary

Vatika Garden is seeking a hands-on Operations Head to own and lead our Restaurant, Bakery and Banquet operations in Balangir. You will build systems, fix problems and guide teams to deliver seamless service.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in catering operations with 3–4 years of independent team management, and is willing to relocate to Balangir, preferably Odia-speaking. This senior role reports to the Promoter and offers full operational authority.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 8 years total experience in restaurant, bakery, banquet operations.
• At least 3 to 4 years independently managing a team, daily operations and cost controls.
• This role requires proven managerial experience and is not suitable for Captain, Steward or Kitchen staff.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Operations Head who takes complete ownership of our Restaurant, Bakery and Banquet. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Promoter with full operational authority. We need someone who builds systems, fixes problems and leads people not someone who simply maintains and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily operations Restaurant, Bakery and Banquet
• Staff recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management
• Food cost control, wastage reduction and inventory management
• SOP creation and systems building
• Daily sales, cash reconciliation and POS closing reports
• Vendor coordination and purchase management
• Customer handling and complaint resolution
• Party and event enquiry, booking and supervision

Experience Required

Minimum 5 to 8 years total experience in restaurant, bakery, banquet in catering or caf operations — with at least 3 to 4 years independently managing a team, daily operations and cost controls.

Candidates currently working as Captain, Steward or Kitchen Staff please note — this role requires proven managerial experience and will not be suitable.

Ideal Candidate

• Age 30 to 45 years
• Background in standalone restaurant, bakery, banquet or catering — hotel experience alone is not sufficient
• Candidates from Odisha or Western Odisha strongly preferred
• Willing to relocate to Balangir with genuine long term commitment
• Odia speaking or understanding is a strong advantage
• Honest, disciplined, hardworking and a natural team leader
• Comfortable with WhatsApp reporting, POS systems and basic Excel
