Job description

We are looking for an Operations Executive who will own the day-to-day operational requirements of the organisation — from ensuring a new employee has their laptop ready before Day 1 to managing vendors, assets, procurement, and employee communication.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who is proactive, organised, and comfortable taking complete ownership of operational tasks.

What You’ll Own

Employee & Asset Operations

  • Own the complete lifecycle of employee assets — laptops, accessories, ID cards and other equipment.

  • Ensure all required assets are ready and assigned before an employee joins.

  • Coordinate asset handovers during joining and recover assets during exit.

  • Maintain an updated asset and inventory tracker.

  • Coordinate repairs, replacements and warranty‑related requirements.

  • Manage relationships with vendors across laptops, IT equipment, office requirements and other operational needs.

  • Coordinate with vendors well in advance to ensure timely delivery and availability.

  • Negotiate prices, commercial terms and service timelines.

  • Identify and onboard new vendors wherever required.

  • Ensure vendors meet agreed timelines and service standards.

New Joiner Readiness

  • Work closely with HR to understand upcoming joiners and their requirements.

  • Ensure laptops, accessories and other required items are arranged before the employee's joining date.

  • Make sure every new joiner has a smooth and hassle‑free Day 1 from an operations perspective.

  • Manage day‑to‑day procurement requirements and coordinate purchase orders/invoices.

  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively plan requirements.

  • Ensure there is no last‑minute shortage of essential equipment or supplies.

  • Maintain proper documentation and records for purchases and assets.

Employee Communication

  • Act as the point of contact for employees for operational and asset‑related queries.

  • Communicate clearly regarding asset allocation, repairs, replacements, returns and other requirements.

  • Follow up with employees and vendors to ensure requests are closed on time.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in Operations, Workplace Operations, Admin, Procurement, or a similar role.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

  • Comfortable dealing and negotiating with external vendors.

  • Strong follow‑up skills and attention to detail.

  • Good working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.

  • A proactive approach, someone who spots a requirement before it becomes a problem.

  • Someone who is comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment.
