Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Onsite Maintenance Technician in Mumbai to support customer sites with world-class service. You will set up and maintain conference spaces, troubleshoot AV systems, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure flawless events.

The role requires 1–3 years of AV integration experience, electronics background, and the ability to work independently while meeting safety standards. Local travel and a valid driver's license are expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–3 years of audio visual integration experience.
  • Formal education in Electronics or related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient with test and calibration equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose complex system problems.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and breakdown conference spaces for events.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on customer spaces.
  • Test and repair cables and hardware components.
  • Clean AV equipment including lenses, monitors and fans.
  • Document job site activities as needed.
  • Provide timely, high-quality support for meetings and installations.
  • Train clients on systems when required.
  • Adhere to local safety standards.
  • Set up, operate and troubleshoot audio/video systems.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Job description

The AVI-SPL Onsite Maintenance Technician will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Setup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance task to help maintain customer spaces including but not
  • limited to: testing/repairing cables, testing/repairing various hardware components.
  • Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses, monitors and
  • equipment fans.
  • Responsible for job site documentation as needed.
  • Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to:
  • meeting support, installing connectors, video/audio recording support.
  • Work with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL.
  • Provide client training as needed.
  • Adhere to and understand local safety standards for all site duties.
  • Setup, operate and troubleshoot various audio/video systems.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues.
  • Detailed experience of Corporate AV installation
  • Experience of the following platforms: Global Meet, Zoom, Cisco, Crestron, Evertz, Yamaha, Shure, Barco, LED Screens etc.
  • Proven track record of delivering live events to a very high
  • Experience discussing technical solutions with non-technical
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and contro.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards.
Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years of audio visual integration experience preferred
  • Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proficient with test and calibration equipment
  • Ability to diagnose complex system problems

  • Biamp: Biamp Tesira Practical Principles
  • Poly: Solutions Expert Certification
  • Crestron: Introduction to Crestron Systems
  • Exton AV Associate Certification
