Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. seeks an onsite maintenance technician to support customer sites with AV systems and deliver a world-class service experience. You will set up conference spaces, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

The role requires hands-on AV experience, strong communication, and a commitment to safety. Travel to multiple customer sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Formal education in Electronics or a related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years audiovisual integration experience preferred.
• Proficient with test and calibration equipment.
• Ability to diagnose complex system problems.

Responsibilities

• Setup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet event needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance including testing and repairing cables and hardware.
• Clean AV equipment such as camera lenses, monitors and fans.
• Document job site activities as needed.
• Provide on-site support for meetings, connectors, and video/audio recording.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
• Setup, operate and troubleshoot audio/video systems.
• Work with teams in a professional manner reflecting AVI-SPL values.
• Provide client training as needed.
• Adhere to local safety standards for site duties.

The AVI-SPL Onsite Maintenance Technician will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance task to help maintain customer spaces including but not
  limited to: testing/repairing cables, testing/repairing various hardware components.
• Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses, monitors and
  equipment fans.
• Responsible for job site documentation as needed.
• Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to:
  meeting support, installing connectors, video/audio recording support.
• Work with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL.
• Provide client training as needed.
• Adhere to and understand local safety standards for all site duties.
• Setup, operate and troubleshoot various audio/video systems.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Skills and Abilities:

• Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues.
• Detailed experience of Corporate AV installation
• Experience of the following platforms: Global Meet, Zoom, Cisco, Crestron, Evertz, Yamaha, Shure, Barco, LED Screens etc.
• Proven track record of delivering live events to a very high

• Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and contro.
• Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of 1-3 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred
• Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient with test and calibration equipment
• Ability to diagnose complex system problems
