Job summary

Astreya is seeking an AV Technician II to join our onsite team supporting a global client. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain AV/VC systems, participate in high-profile events, and travel occasionally to client offices.

You will diagnose issues quickly, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery of AV services and presentations in corporate environments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2–5 years’ related experience or equivalent
  • Ability to build productive internal and external relations
  • Judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action
  • Ability to think and work independently
  • Strong wiring, termination, and installation techniques for AV equipment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong customer service.
  • Ability to read architecture, electrical, structural & AV drawings
  • Ability to work day, evening or weekend shifts and travel to support distant events
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Responsibilities

  • Participate in installation of AV equipment and displays including audio/video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, control systems and presentation systems
  • Install structured cabling: pulling, terminating and testing cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI and audio cables
  • Ensure SLAs and daily deliverables are met including ticket updates
  • Upload Crestron control programs and coordinate with remote team for certification
  • Assist with inventory management, including stock levels, returns (RMA) and DOA issues
  • Follow client policies, standards or safety guidelines
  • Engage in problem solving and troubleshooting during installations
  • Perform equipment setups, breakdowns and troubleshoot during events
  • Conduct pre-event checks as required
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams and end users during events
  • Interface with end users and vendors to address requests and requirements
  • Identify and resolve issues impacting conference rooms

Job description

The AV Technician II will join our expanding team onsite with one of our global clients. The hire will be given the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative technologies in the world. The AV Technician II will provide support for corporate AV/VC environments, and will confidently and quickly analyze problems using technical diagnostic skill sets, in order to effectively support and resolve issues. Technical responsibilities include high profile event support, audio, video, conferencing technology, projects, maintenance, support. Traveling to various client offices on occasion is required
