The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in solar O&M, strong knowledge of SCADA, preventive and corrective maintenance, safety practices, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related technical qualification.
• 5–8 years of experience in solar plant operations & maintenance.
• Experience leading O&M teams across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day O&M of solar plants (rooftop and ground-mounted).
• Monitor plant performance, energy generation, availability, and generate reports.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented O&M Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of solar power plants. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum plant availability, efficient energy generation, preventive and corrective maintenance, team management, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Solar Plant Operations
  • Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of solar power plants, including rooftop and ground-mounted projects.
  • Monitor plant performance, energy generation, equipment efficiency, and plant availability.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective measures to minimise power generation losses.
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to solar modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, cables, and other electrical equipment.
  • Ensure timely maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime.
• Team Management
  • Supervise O&M engineers, technicians, electricians, and site personnel.
  • Allocate daily responsibilities, monitor team performance, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with project teams, vendors, contractors, and clients.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Monitor plant performance using SCADA, data loggers, monitoring portals, and other relevant systems.
  • Analyze generation reports, performance ratio (PR), plant availability, and equipment downtime.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly O&M reports and present them to management.
• Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, company policies, and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and maintenance audits.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices at all project sites.
• Inventory & Vendor Management
  • Maintain records of spare parts, tools, consumables, and critical equipment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for timely procurement and repairs.
  • Control maintenance costs and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
• Client & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Coordinate with clients regarding plant performance, maintenance schedules, and technical issues.
  • Ensure timely resolution of client complaints and service requests.
  • Support management in improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, HT/LT systems, and electrical equipment.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and solar plant performance optimization.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, data loggers, and solar monitoring platforms.
• Good understanding of electrical safety standards and maintenance procedures.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and documentation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in solar power plant operations and maintenance.
• Experience in handling O&M teams and managing multiple project sites will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience in rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects will be given preference.
