Job summary

Growth For Impact in Delhi, India seeks a seasoned O&M engineer for Solar PV projects. You will ensure uptime, monitor performance via SCADA and diagnostics, and drive issue resolution to maximize generation. The role emphasizes coordination across teams, safety, and data analytics.

You will report on KPIs, supervise site crews, manage spares, and coordinate with OEMs for technical support. English and Hindi communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • BE/BTech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Renewable Energy.
  • 10–12 years of experience in Solar PV, preferably in O&M.
  • Technical coordination and report writing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to resolve site-related technical issues within defined targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work effectively in an operations environment.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maximum plant uptime, efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor allocated projects using SCADA, data monitoring platforms, and diagnostic tools.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues to maximize plant generation.
  • Coordinate with the analytics team to track KPIs such as PR, plant availability, and generation guarantee.
  • Supervise technicians and contractors during maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems and plan corrective actions in advance.
  • Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for technical support and warranty claims, including planning for equipment extended warranties.
  • Plan preventive and corrective maintenance of solar modules, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.

Job description

ROLE
  • Ensure maximum plant uptime, efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor allocated projects using SCADA, data monitoring platforms, and diagnostic tools.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues to maximize plant generation.
  • Maintain breakdown sheets, customer complaint registers, and module cleaning sheets for data analytics.
  • Coordinate with the analytics team to track KPIs such as PR, plant availability, and generation guarantee.
  • Maintain all vendor records, handle vendor queries, and coordinate invoice submissions.
  • Follow up with customers for payment collection.
  • Conduct O&M audits before project handover and share punch points.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and performance logs.
  • Supervise technicians and contractors during maintenance activities.
  • Update customer complaint registers daily and track closure against target dates.
  • Ensure IMS adherence across projects.
  • Create and maintain weekly trackers for failures related to inverters, sensors, modules, and other equipment.
  • Manage spares and maintain inventory records.
  • Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems and plan corrective actions in advance.
  • Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for technical support and warranty claims, including planning for equipment extended warranties.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, ensure timely replacements, and conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Plan preventive and corrective maintenance of solar modules, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
REQUIREMENTS
  • B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Renewable Energy.
  • 10–12 years of experience in Solar PV, preferably in O&M.
  • Technical coordination and report writing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to resolve site‑related technical issues within defined targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
