Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the solar power plant to ensure maximum uptime and generation efficiency.
• Supervise and guide the site team, including engineers and technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Monitor plant performance through SCADA systems and take corrective actions as required.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with the central O&M team for technical support, spares management, and operational improvements.
• Manage site documentation, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities as required.
• Handle emergency breakdowns, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Skills Required

• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and associated equipment.
• Proficiency in SCADA monitoring and fault diagnosis.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Good communication and client‑handling capabilities.
• Knowledge of safety practices, statutory compliance, and environmental regulations in renewable energy operations.

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech in Electrical, EEE, or related discipline
• Minimum of 7–8 years of experience in the solar O&M field
• Proven track record of managing medium to large‑scale solar power plants.
