Job summary

Kay Jay Forgings Pvt Ltd in Ludhiana is seeking a detail-oriented NPD and quality coordinator to drive 5S, safety, and APQP across new product development projects.

You will maintain the drawing issue register, manage PPAP and ECN/PCN processes, update the PFD, FMEA and Control plan, and coordinate with CFT for ECN implementation.

The role requires proactive VE suggestions to optimize consumables and materials, with hands-on involvement in NPD handover to production.

Responsibilities

To ensure the 5S & Safety in the respective area.
To follow the APQP in case of New Product Development.
To co-ordinate with all concerned process owner for the on time submission of samples as per defined target date.
To maintain the drawing issue register.
To communicate with the customers regarding any issue raised during development stage.
To submit the PPAP documents to customer in case of New Product Development & in case of ECN received in the existing parts.
To update the PFD, FMEA and Control plan.
To ensure the quality PPM of samples as per target decided.
To elevate the issues to next level as per escalation process.
To handover/sign off project from NPD to production.
To submit the sample on time as per APQP time line chart.
To implement the Poka- Yoke for special characteristics during New Product Development.
To implement & maintain the documentation as per requirements of IATF 16949:2016.
To give at least one VE suggestion monthly to optimize consumables, electricity and raw material.
To maintain the enquiry register.
To follow the ECN/ PCN process in case of change in product parameter or process change.
To conduct the Feasibility study for new product.
To maintain the ECN tracking sheet.
To co-ordinate with CFT for implementation of ECN.
