Job summary

India Nippon Electricals Limited- INEL is seeking engineers to drive supplier selection, conduct DFM and DFA reviews, and identify manufacturing feasibility and risks for new parts. You will coordinate prototype development, ensure milestones align with customer schedules, and oversee tool progress against the plan.

The role requires coordinating NPD activities per PPAP and APQP requirements, achieving PPAP approval before mass production, and developing parts within cost targets while

Qualifications

• Experience with supplier selection processes and cross-functional evaluation.
• Ability to perform DFx reviews (DFM/ DFA) to optimize manufacturability.
• Familiarity with PPAP and APQP requirements and timing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare supplier selection list based on internal Team guidance.
• Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews.
• Identify manufacturing feasibility, critical dimensions and potential risks.
• Prepare the Part Development Plan and development timeline.
• Coordinate prototype and sample development.
• Ensure development milestones are completed as per customer schedule.
• Monitor tool manufacturing progress against the development schedule.
• Drive NPD activities according to PPAP and APQP requirements.
• Ensure PPAP approval before mass production.
• Develop parts within the approved target cost.
• Develop optimum strip layout / blank size for sheet-metal components where applicable.
