Job summary

Zouk, a vegan lifestyle brand, is seeking an experienced Retail Operations Leader to oversee Exclusive Brand Outlets across India from Mumbai. You will drive store profitability, optimize inventory, merchandising, and customer service while maintaining strong cash controls and reporting standards.

Qualifications

• MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 business school.
• 2–6 years in offline retail operations, managing 50+ stores nationwide.
• Strong knowledge of profitability, store ops, inventory and finance metrics.
• Practical understanding of POS, ERP, dashboards and reporting.
• Proven ability to supervise leaders and scale processes across locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations and drive sales productivity and profitability.
• Establish standards for inventory, merchandising, cash controls, and customer service.
• Review audits, inventory losses and operational risks.
• Prepare new stores for openings with expansion teams.
• Develop Regional/Area/Store Managers through coaching and reviews.
• Improve customer satisfaction via feedback and NPS trends.
• Analyze P&L, EBITDA, expenses, and like-for-like sales.
• Coordinate inventory and markdowns with Finance and Supply Chain.
• Use POS/ERP/reporting dashboards to identify improvements.
• Develop standardized review and reporting for national leadership.

About the role

• Manage retail operations for the company's Exclusive Brand Outlets across India.

What you'll do

• Oversee store operations and improve sales productivity, customer conversion, transaction values and profitability.
• Establish operating standards for inventory, merchandising, store cash controls and customer service.
• Review store audits, compliance processes, inventory losses and operational risks.
• Work with the expansion and projects teams to prepare new stores for their opening dates.
• Develop and manage Regional Managers, Area Managers and Store Managers through hiring, coaching and performance reviews.
• Improve customer satisfaction by reviewing feedback, mystery shopping results and NPS trends.
• Analyse store P&Ls, EBITDA, operating expenses and like-for-like sales performance.
• Coordinate inventory availability, stock movement and markdown strategies with Finance and Supply Chain.
• Use POS, ERP and reporting dashboards to identify stores requiring operational improvements.
• Develop standardised review processes and reporting systems for national retail leadership.

What we're looking for

• MBA qualification from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 business school.
• 2–6 years of experience in offline retail operations, including demonstrated responsibility for more than 50 stores nationwide.
• Strong knowledge of retail profitability, store operations, inventory management and financial performance measures.
• Practical understanding of POS systems, ERP tools, retail dashboards and operational reporting.
• Proven ability to supervise retail leaders, improve store performance and develop processes that work across multiple locations.

Good to have

• Experience with D2C, fashion, lifestyle, accessories or other organised retail businesses.

• Mumbai-based position requiring extensive travel to retail locations throughout India.
