Responsibilities

• Deliver inquiry-based science instruction across physical, life, and earth sciences for Grades 6–8 and High School Integrated Science.
• Adapt instruction to the developmental needs and prior knowledge of middle and high school learners to promote independence, creativity, and scientific thinking.
• Design authentic NGSS-aligned units that connect science disciplines to real-world and interdisciplinary STEM learning and build a coherent progression toward IB DP sciences.
• Lead safe laboratory investigations in which students design experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings.
• Use data, formative assessments, and summative assessments to monitor progress, refine instruction, and provide meaningful feedback.
• Integrate technology, digital tools, and AI to develop computational thinking and digital fluency.
• Lead a grade-level advisory and co-curricular activities, chaperone experiential learning trips, and supervise students, fostering a respectful, inclusive environment that supports student well-being.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum alignment and shared practice, and document curriculum, assessments, and resources in school-approved platforms.
