Job summary

Bajaj Auto is seeking a skilled Purchase Engineer with a strong background in electronics. The role requires deep understanding of BOMs, components, PCB technologies, and soldering methods, along with familiarity with SAP in the purchasing module.

Candidate should have 5–10 years of experience, be adept at cost estimation, and capable of managing POs and related amendments. Python scripting experience is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• BTech in Electrical / Electronics Engineering is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience and maximum 10 years.
• Age between 25 and 35 years.

Responsibilities

• Electronic BOM (Bill of Material) understanding.
• In-depth knowledge of electronic components: active, passive, PCB, reflow/wave soldering, soldering materials.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturers and distributors.
• Electronic BOM equivalent searching experience and timely cost estimation of parts.
• SAP knowledge in the purchase module; Python scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Electronic BOM [Bill of Material] Understanding
• To have in depth knowledge in Electronic components, Active components [transistors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs) etc], Passive components [resistors, capacitors, inductors, and transformers], PCB [Printed circuit board], Reflow soldering, Wave soldering, Soldering paste, Soldering materials
• Hands on experience in semiconductors manufacturers
• Hands on experience in semiconductors distributors
• Electronic BOM equivalent searching experience
• Timely cost estimation of parts.
• To ensure timely release of POs
• Amendments of POs as per RM circulars, Fx amendments
• SAP knowledge in purchase module
• Python script knowledge is added advantage for this position
