Job summary

Frontline Electronics is seeking a senior GM Operations with extensive experience in managing end-to-end plant operations. The role covers hiring, purchasing, stores, kitting, production, testing and despatch for 300+ pcba types monthly.

You will lead 300 engineers and operators, drive KPIs, and ensure near 6-sigma quality while coordinating with other company plants. English fluency is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of work experience in the electronic manufacturing industry.
• Preference to Graduate Electronic Engineers or MSc Electronics.
• Diploma in Electronics considered if exceptional experience.
• Mechanical Engineers with electronics manufacturing experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production planning, manpower allotment and target achievement.
• Monitor daily/weekly/monthly production and quality KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with Factory Act, ESI/EPF/PT and other statutory rules.
• Maintain Quality Management System and conduct audits.
• Coordinate SMT maintenance, IT infrastructure and equipment maintenance.
• Interact with other plants for inter-plant collaboration and despatch planning.
• Handle daily despatches, changeovers and new product introductions.

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

The job is not for a production head.

The selected candidate needs to have long experience in handling entire plant operations from hiring to purchase to stores to kitting to production to testing and sales invoicing to despatch of more than 300 types of pcba supplied to several customers.

The young and dynamic and qualified GM Operations will be responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly electronic production of more than 300 types of pcba assembled by the company every month.

He / she needs to handle 300 engineers and operators with a 40% iteration rate and also achieve near 6 sigma quality.

The GM Operatoions need to interact with other Plants of the company.

Customer interaction regarding daily despatches, daily production status, changeover, urgent requirement, new product introduction is the most important responsibility.

He / She has to take care of Production planning, manpower allotment, achieving Manual assembly targets, Monitoring KIPs, Maintaining the Quality System and audits and all QMS activities.

A huge exposure is also needed to all kinds of statutory compliances under the Factory Act, ESI / EPF / PT, water and electricity .

SMT Maintenance / IT infrastructure / all types of AMC / supporting equipment repair , spare part procurement, is also a major activity.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Candidates preferred with 15-20years of work experience in the ELECTRONIC MANUFACTURING industry.

Preference to Graduate Electronic Engineers or MSc Electronics .

Diploma in Electronics Engineers will also be considered if the candidate has exceptional experience.

Mechanical Engineers with 100% experience in electronics manufacturing may also be considered.

Candidates from auto ancillaries which do assembly of speedometers, electrical and electronic parts are also preferred.

Fluency in English is definitely an advantage.
