Job summary

Bajaj Auto invites applications for a role in cost finalization, purchase ordering and amendments for press and welded route parts (mig weld, spot weld). The incumbent will coordinate cost sheets for 2W and CV parts, and lead zero-based costing and capacity planning with vendors.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of experience in automotive cost management, strong understanding of press and fabrication processes, and excellent communication with vendor counterparts.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive cost management and procurement.
• Knowledge of press and fabrication cost drivers.
• Ability to coordinate with vendor counters parts and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Role: Cost finalization, purchase ordering and amendments for press and welded route parts (mig weld, spot weld)
• Vertical Responsibilities: Coordination of digitization of cost sheets for 2wh & CV parts (BIW- Chassis, body cabins, motorcycle frame, exhausts etc)
• Horizontal Responsibilities: Zero based costing of press and fabricated route parts, finalization of the costs, capacity planning for the responsible part families and vendor capability improvements.

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

Knowledge of drawing study, press part processes, joinery processes (mig weld, spot weld etc), knowledge of zero based costing, capacity calculations, TPM etc.

Behavioral

Confident, Young, dynamic, intelligent, and good team player. Good communication skills for technical & commercial topics resolution with vendor counter parts & vendor capability improvement monitoring with concern vendors including tier 2,3…

Specific expertise required for functional area:

Process knowledge of press and fabrication route parts and zero based costing.
