Job summary

Skillventory in Pune, Maharashtra, is seeking a Material Planning & Procurement professional to manage end-to-end buying, planning, and supplier coordination for Electrical & Electronics components.

You will execute SAP-based material planning, coordinate with production and cross-functional teams, and monitor supplier performance to sustain uninterrupted operations. Strong knowledge of MRP, BOM planning, and quality documentation is essential.

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for material planning, procurement, and supplier management of Electrical & Electronics commodities to ensure uninterrupted production, optimal inventory levels, and on-time delivery performance. The role manages procurement of critical components such as control units, electrical subassemblies, drives, sensors, power supplies, cables, and related parts through an extensive domestic supplier network.

Material Planning & Demand Management (SAP)

• Execute demand flow verification and material planning through SAP.
• Perform short-term and long-term material planning based on production requirements.
• Plan and procure BOM materials to support manufacturing schedules.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly material requirements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to align forecasts and schedules.
• Conduct capacity and performance analysis to ensure material availability.

Purchase Order Management

• Place purchase orders to suppliers on time.
• Review purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Reschedule purchase orders based on demand fluctuations.
• Perform periodic reconciliation of purchase orders and supplier commitments.
• Ensure timely sourcing of materials to avoid production disruptions.

Supplier Management & Delivery Performance

• Manage and coordinate with domestic suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain OTD (On-Time Delivery) above 95%.
• Follow up on delivery schedules and expedite critical materials when required.
• Ensure incoming materials are accompanied by required documentation such as TC, PDIR, invoices, and compliance certificates.
