Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in Pune invites a Part Development specialist to drive BOM ownership, capex alignment, and timely PPAP with CDMM and SQE/SCM teams. You will focus on delivering parts within cost targets and coordinating supplier inputs to support vehicle programs.

Ideal candidate has BE/B.Tech with 4–10 years’ experience in Cables and Electrical & Electronics parts, including leadership and cost estimation skills, to optimize Make Vs Buy decisions and supplier negotiations.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Cables, Electrical & Electronics parts – Wiring Harness, Switches, Sensors.
• Excellent knowledge of supplier base for cables, Electrical & Electronics parts.
• Expertise in budget estimation and cost estimation for Electrical & Electronics parts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the part-wise BOM & meet Capex targets for part development.
• Deliver as per material cost targets and investments for bought-out parts.
• Ensure timely vendor PPAP and handover to SQE/SCM, coordinating with CDMM delivery team.
• Lead quote synthesis including supplier feedback, Capex/Investment, part pricing, and with CDMM team.

Job description

Part Development

• Maintain the part-wise BOM & meet the associated Capex related to the part development
• Delivery as per the material cost targets and investmenst for bought-out parts
• Delivery of the right quality of parts w.r.t. Project MRD in co-ordination with CDMM delivery team
• Ensure timely completion of vendor PPAP & Handover to SQE/SCM - Work closely with CDMM delivery team

Technical

• SOR/Drawing release - Timely fonalization of Supplier Inputs & Cost feasibility inputs in co-ordination with PEL
• Technical Sign-off - Timely completion of technical sign-off alongwith PEL & COE with capable suppliers meeting the TCP targets

Techno-commercial

• Quote Synthesis - Ensure quality and timely submission of Quote Synthesis (Incl - Supplier feedback, Capex/Investment, Part pricing, & Process) along-with CDMM delivery team.
• Ensure supplier capacity to suplly parts as per projected volume in time & at scale
• Decision on cost treade-off for the commodity to minimize TCP deviations at vehicle level
• Ensure the underlying assumptions of SBC, SOR, & QS are similar To monitor QCD performance of project on a periodic basis

Commercial

• SUpplier Panel &VOB : Co-ordinate with CDMM, SSU for timely closure of project VOBs with the help of PSL
• Ensure only the suppliers meeting the technical sign-off gets on-boarded.

Other Business Decisions

• Project Budget Estimation - Provide Part development related inputs to PPH for business case preperation
• System-level target drill down - Provide inputs on ttechno-commercial feasibility to PEL
• MAke Vs Buy Decision - Timely inputs for the finalizatio of Make Vs Buy inline with platform TCP targets, in co-ordination with PPH, PMH, & CDMM Counterparts
