Job summary

Bajaj Auto is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4–8 years of QA/assembly experience to drive process controls, compliance, and continuous improvement at our facility. You will collaborate with ME, QA, and vendor teams to implement robust quality systems and process SOPs.

You will audit readiness, lead problem-solving with TPM and DFMEA tools, and support new model introductions while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across the plant.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with good academic track record.
• Minimum 4 years and up to 8 years of work experience in QA/assembly.
• Knowledge of assembly, welding, machining, packing technologies.
• Familiarity with IATF, PFMEA/DFMEA, FTA.
• Exposure to TPM, QMS and SHEMS.
• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Establish poka yoke and process controls for compliance with country-specific parameters.
• Maintain quality safety norms and safe operations.
• Ensure zero NC findings in internal and external audits.
• Define SOPs for key processes and ensure adherence.
• Oversee inward inspection and SABC parts acceptance.
• Drive zero customer complaints and continuous improvement.

6. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Role Based - Std Library)

• Legal compliance :-Establishing poka yoke & process controls for Euro III/BSIII/BS IV parameters. as per Country specific legal requirement.
• Quality safety norms -safety compliance.
• System Compliances: Zero NC in audits by 'Internal audit' department & 'External audit' agency
• Defining SOPs for following processes and following those meticulously
• 1. inward Inspection 2 SABC parts
• Zero NC in audits by 'Internal audit' department & 'External audit' agency
• Drive for ZERO customer complaints

Domestic and Export customer

• Communization of QA system across all plant -CKD Export
• . Hassle free introduction of new model.
• Expertise in failure analysis, initiating corrective preventive actions.
• Knowledge & expertise in using different problem-solving techniques (7 QC Tools , FMEA ).
• Exposure to TPM , QMS and SHEMS implementation in work area.
